The Things We Do For Money

So today i learnt a good lesson. One i should have learn, oh maybe, 12 to 15 years ago. DO NOT GET INTO A STRANGERS CAR!
let me start from the beginning. As many of you know, jobs are rare and far apart these days. And they are even farther for a student. so i have been doing an odd job here and an odd job there on Kijiji and i came across one that is a hard job but it's work. A Chicken catcher and boxer. i replied to the add and they said its early mornings, full time. thats not a problem. they said they would drive me to work since its so early. and silly me thought that the location was in Hamilton.
So just this morning at 3am, i got into a car with 4 other Asian people who speak almost NO ENGLISH! and i speak NO CHINESE, CAMBODIAN, JAPANESE, or what ever other Asian language i can think of.
on the way to work i fell asleep, and woke up shortly after (or so i thought) and i was at work. so they put me to work, i put dead chickens in a box and then i realized. I dont know where i am. and after some more time, i decided that the safety and work environment would not meet the WHIMS standards and so i asked if my mom could pick me up. after giving the address i discovered that i was a 2 hour drive from home.
Today was a fun adventure, full of lessons, full of excitement. That was my day, how was yours?
